Our Team
Clif McFeely:  Co-Founder     email
Clif’s “second career” in the non-profit world follows a career in advertising and marketing. Most recently he was president of North Castle Communications, a firm that specialized in youth communications. The inspiration for his new work and the FUTURE 5 concept also flows from his personal experience – originally as a “big” in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program – and in recent years as a mentor to a number of young people in Stamford, CT. His thinking has also been shaped by his time spent on the boards of Domus, a non-profit organization providing educational and support services to low-income youth and Stamford Achieves, a community organization, devoted to closing the achievement gap.

Grant MacDonald:  Co-Founder     email
Working with teenagers is second nature to Grant. With research and planning skills developed as a partner at youth marketing firm, North Castle Communications, he is creating a systematic FUTURE 5 approach to helping our students connect to the future and charting individual student progress. As “moderator” for our group sessions, Grant finds unique ways to encourage our students to share ideas and express themselves freely in a group setting – all in the interest of better self-awareness and a better understanding of personal goals and how those goals can be achieved.

Nancy Roath:  Program Manager ~ Coach Recruitment
Recently retired from a career in marketing at IBM, Nancy has joined us as a volunteer to help FUTURE 5 attain an outrageous goal: enlist willing adult volunteers from every corner and every segment of our community on a scale that has never been attempted before. Five coaches, five on-going connections to the world - for every student in need. With Nancy leading this effort we have every hope of getting there! Nancy is also a “Big Sister” to a young student in Stamford and serves on the board of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwest Connecticut.

Aiesha Mclean:  Student Coordinator
Aiesha is a Psychology major at University of Connecticut on track for her BA in May, 2010 and very likely moving on for a master’s degree in social work. A graduate of Stamford High School and experienced as a mentor to young students in UConn’s “University Pals” program, Aiesha was a natural choice to fill an important role as a FUTURE 5 intern. She works directly with our students as a facilitator in our group sessions and works with our students, one-on-one, as an assistant to the Lead Coaches.

Stacey Tarantino:  Manager, Operations and Administration     email
A key premise of FUTURE 5 as a breakthrough, sustainable idea is that we can create effective, cost-efficient systems for coach-student recruitment, training and communications. Stacey is central to our effort to create and maintain those systems and handles all administrative and financial duties. She has an Associates Degree (Magna Cum Laude) in Liberals Arts from Norwalk Community College.
